Welcome 2013!

I have been working on another blog post for quite some time now. Crazy I cant seem to find the time to slow down and do it. So I will be doing it bit by bit between housework and running after the children! Should be fun and a long blog post. This New Years was much like last year. Full off family time. New Years eve spent at the park with the kiddos and then home in the bed snuggled with my husband. He was tired and had to work the next day so he slept. Thank goodness too. Neighbors were shooting off fireworks. Since Afghanistan he has not dealt with them very well of course unless he is the one firing them off. He went to work New Years day and I went to my moms had a scrumptious lunch and hung out with the kids some MORE. Yesterday evening a couple of our bestists came over and we had dinner and shot off fireworks till we were cordially asked to stop came inside and just hung out together. Its what we 4 do best. Talk and just hang out. Resolutions this year? Well I said to my self I was not going to make any because you can change your life and better it at any point during the year. Naturally a NEW year means a chance to start again. So I am asking you my readers/ friends and family to be supportive and encourage me to stick with what I say I am going to do. I will be posting my resolutions in the margin of my blog for the year so we can keep track of it. Hows that? They are small things but things that should be done. I really want to thank everyone who reads my blog. It means a whole lot to me that you guys like keeping up with my life. Not that its Kim Kardashian style but its my style. I am really looking forward to this year. I welcome it with open arms. Hubby and I have some fun plans this year including time spent seeing family who live WAY out of town. I cannot wait to see all of them. Its been years. So that is all for today. I hope each one of you readers had a blessed Christmas and a Happy New Year and that God brings many many blessings into your life this year!

The Great Makeup Debate

Okay so I have been really busy with Christmas stuff to blog. PLEASE forgive me. I have already taken down my Christmas decorations including my tree. I love it and its beautiful but its too much. Too cluttered. Anyways so now Im in a bit of a debate. I really want to try a new make up and I have been balancing on getting the Urban Decay Naked II Palette but its $50 and to me that is RIDICULOUS to spend that much money on makeup. Then recently someone posted a pic of something called Lorac Ooh La La Lace! I love that Palette too!! Oh and TiffanyD Has her Defining Eyes Palette with Sigma too that I want badly.  Im just not sure which to start with. Not to mention spend that kind of money on makeup! I have heard great things about both. I'm still working on my technique too so we will see. I will let you guys know what I decide. I did get some cute Avon makeup that I asked for for Christmas. Cant wait to try it. Contrary to before Avon's makeup quality has improved dramatically. I got some foundations I am going to try and a couple of mini lip gloss palettes and an mini eye shadow palette. Hubby already loves the lipstick. Found some NICE makeup brushes in the gift set at Walmart on clearance for $5. Cant beat that especially if they don't work good then I don't have to feel guilty about tossing them if I don't like them. Wow... I sound like a girly girl. 2 years ago you would never have heard me making a big fuss about makeup. Now that Im older, like they say an old barn can use a lil paint! HAHA! Anyways. I will do another Christmas post in the near future. But just a lil preview of what went on... here is a pic. Hope you guys had a Merry Christmas. I know I did. Probably one of the best in years. Not gift wise but just family together being happy time! =)

Hubbs and I with our sister and her man in our onesie jammies we got on Christmas Eve from the in-laws! =P

Fun Stuff!

Okay so the first part of getting organized is getting my folders together and things like that. =) In order to do that I have scoured the internet for cute printables to use to organize them. Everything I get are freebies. I do not take them if they have not allowed it. First off I get my super duper cute calendars from Hello Cuteness! She has all kinds of super cute things there. You can purchase the calendars at better quality than printing them off. But because I use it for personal use I'm not too worried about that! I also use these in my home School planner for the months. They are just too precious not to use ya know! In her old repository at her old site I love love her menu planners and to do lists. Those are here Anything But Perfect! Anyways I have a weekly planner I use for my Home School is not from her site. Actually I get bits and pieces from many different sites! The front and back cover, the weekly planners, and the notes section are from this site New Beginnings! Again I am very picky about my stuff so I do not use EVERYTHING from one site. That also gives your planner some individuality. And... sadly enough I have a blog planner... The cover of my blog planner comes from Confessions of a Home Schooler. I didn't like the in depth blog planner because my blog is simply simple right now. The actual planning part of my blog is simple and I love it. It comes from The Flourishing Abode. So that's it, the basics of my organization in my paperwork and planning. Its crazy the harder I try to get organized the more I realize how unorganized I was! On a higher note, today was supposed to be the end of the world and the apocalypse and all that but HEY were still here and everything outside still appears normal. Course I never believed in all that hoopla anyways. The Bible says no one knows the day or the time, not even the angels. Matthew 24:36 “But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only." That is great news. I cant wait for that day. Gonna be great to be with our Father in heaven. Tonight the kiddos are going to the in-laws to do their yearly tradition of making a gingerbread house. Its cute! While they are there hubbs and I are going to try and FINISH Christmas shopping.. =/ We have had our discussions on telling the kids the truth about Santa. Especially Baby girl because she has actually asked us about it. We debated but she forgot when she seen someone who looked just like Santa at the hockey game. HE IS REAL! she said. I just let it go. But do not go on thinking that my kids do not know that the IMPORTANCE of Christmas is NOT Santa or presents but of the best present of all, Jesus Christ! That makes me think about Buttercup. I love our Church. The hallway of the Children's Ministry building is a mural of popular Bible stories on one side and the life of Jesus on the other. While the older two are at children's choir Buttercup and I walk up and down the hallway talking about the Bible stories and Jesus. I just love it. Kids will be Kids, when I asked her who the big muscular man was smashing the pillars down she said it was Mary. =/ Sorry. Mary I believe had the strength and faith that Samson did but I do not think she had the muscles he did. *Giggle* Anyways. Christmas is right around the corner and I am still completely not in the Christmas spirit. Maybe after a little shopping and seeing some Christmas lights it will help. I hope everyone has a blessed day! Remember Jesus is the reason for the season! =)

NEW! NEW!

Okay my dear friends, I have gotten way behind but now I have made a vow to myself and my family to get more organized and keep up with things. Such as... cleaning, educating, training, and things like that. I love being a stay at home mom but I have overwhelmingly strong lazy bones that sometimes just kick my behind and make me do NOTHING all day everyday and that has been made clear to me that it HAS to stop. I have all the materials to get organized I just lack the motivation. Sad isnt it? With the supposed end of the world tomorrow I might be too late. But you know they always say better late than never. =) In all honesty I have been somewhat exhausted since preparing and performing in our churchs Singing Christmas Tree. It takes alot of work. Definitely more than I had ever imagined it. Anyways, so here is my vow to you blog followers, I intend on keeping up with it. (should be much easier now that I have internet at my house again). I truly missed blogging and my next vow to you are my blogs will be informational, upbeat and inspirational. In the past I have regrettably wrote things that were not and I am truly sorry. Writing I had every intentions of hoping to hurt those who have hurt me but now I see that was not the appropriate and Christian way to deal with things. So in all honesty if I wrote a blog and it offended you I am truly sorry. However, I cannot guarantee I wont post things that are contraversial or some may find offensive. Again I will go back to the idea of if you find what I post offensive feel free to discontinue reading my blog. Anyways. That is all for now until I can figure out what else I can possibly update everyone on and I get things more organized. I hope everyone has a blessed day!

Long time...

So much has been going on. Good and some not so good. Hubby and I are still working on being 100% completely debt free. Taking a class called Financial Peace University. We both have become extremely active in our church and our Sunday school class. Which I absolutely adore! My old high school fb friends are slowly being pushed out by my wonderful church family. I was doing great at working out but some things happened, hubby changed shifts and well my sitter for the gym is no more. So I am going to have to compensate somehow at home. Guess I could put my p90x and Zumba to good use. Homeschooling has been fun. I go through alot of ink printing worksheets and things like that. I think my babygirl still misses her school and her friends. Sometimes i wonder if she misses them more than she did me when she was in school. Our littlest one is now 3. Gosh time flies. Our son is getting big. 4 years old and as big as his 7 year old sister. We are still waiting on the Med board process for James. He has gone back to the VA for more xrays and it has seemed his back has gotten worse. He has an MRI coming up which should show more. His PTSD is getting better. Got your good days and your bad days. Mostly good days. Course that makes the bad days more obvious. He hates taking his meds for it but I encourage him and remind him some guys have it much worse. Thats pretty much all that has been going on around here. Time flies when your having fun. Im going to try to update regularly but like I said between homeschool, church, FPU, Bible Study, and family and friends spare time is hard to come by! Anyways. I hope you all have a blessed evening!

Where in the World?

Well... life has been... life! Busy when you have three kids and a husband that you love and to whom you dedicate most of your time. Yeah so why did I decide to start blogging again? I have no idea... I probably wont even stick with it... Sad yes I know. I have decided to homeschool as if I didnt already have enough going on. I have also begun dieting and working out again. Im really hoping I can stick with it. As a reward i will be going on a cruise next year with my hubbs and a couple friends of ours as well as partaking in a mud run. I will be doing alot of mobile blogging seeing as I will have to blog on the go in between doing things here and there. So here goes the beginning of a new chapter in my life homeschooling exercising and dieting along with my daily routine that I already have daily devotions and quiet time with God if it's going to be crazy. Some buckle up and hang in there and bare with me as we go through this together.

A Storm is Brewin!

Its Spring, Its beautiful some days and then other days it looks like today. Dreary and rainy and word is we have one heck of a storm coming. Of course that pertains to many things does it not? Whether it be a storm in weather, life, soceity, our country or our world. But for me right now other than the weather life has been great. When you depend on God it sure does make the days go by easier. I am still learning to depend on him with everything but again I am diving into my Bible Study in hopes that will help me let go of my selfish ways and let God deal with my life. I ran across a quote on Twitter and I found it quite inspirational.

When things aren't working out, be patient. Stop tryin to move ahead of God. His timing is perfect. Trust Him!

What a valuable piece of advice. We have to remember Gods plans are in accordance with his Kingdom in Heaven and we all play a small part of it. What I have learned is that no matter what season of life we are in we are supposed to appreciate it. Everyone is in different seasons in their lives. Some are having children, some are just getting married, some have already done both and do not want to do either of those again. I have to admit visiting with my one week old niece last week made me want a baby sooo badly but then when my nephew (mind you hes just a year old) throws a fit and does all the toddler things it reminds me why I stopped at three. Its not that I do no love babies and children but I am passed that season in my life and I would rather not have any more. I have also learned in my Bible Study that God is always teaching us a lesson... it may be abundantly clear as we are learning it or it may be something hidden behind our hearts but all in all we are learning things to grow with him. I have not played World of Warcraft in a week. It has been hard... giving up something I enjoyed doing but knowing it is not the right thing for ME to do. But remember what may not work for me it may work for you! These are my personal convictions. It was taking time away from my devotionals and my Bible Study and my sleep. I have not yet given up social networking but I am not into it like I was before. These may not be the ways other people live their lives but I have chosen to live mine this way. Eventually it will all be gone and we wont have any of it but I want to know that the Legacy I leave behind for my children is time spent with them, their father and the Lord and not on the computer or on my phone constantly. Though I am guilty at having my nose in a book instead but I have learned that moderation is key. Time goes by so quickly and looking back I missed a lot of good times with my children because I was tired or glued to my phone just waiting for someone to post something different. Too funny now that I look back on it. Also sleep does not come easy to me so when time spent playing games or goofing off online instead of relaxing and trying to get to sleep does not help my case. So you wonder what lessons I am learning... well I have learned that its probably best to live like you are broke all the time that way you will never be broke as long as you are frugal with your money and another lesson I am learning is to be careful what you entrust to others. Whether it be your time, money, house, children and whatever has any meaning to you. (Also brought to my attention in my Bible Study) If you have a gut feeling that something is not right listen to it. That is God saying ok.. Im giving you a warning you do not listen you will learn. But we are all just mere humans and we cannot be perfect all the time. As a believer I am filled with the Holy Spirit therefore I should strive to be more like him and that I have the power to be like him I just gotta put fort the effort. And that is what I am going to do. Strive to be the BEST person I can in accordance to God. We expect GREAT things from him and all he asks is that we read and live by his word, pray and worship him. The task at hand for believers is minute compared to the tasks of the Lord.

"For it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure" Philippians 2:13
