I called this post wacky Wednesday because well its wacky. My kids are, my family is, and our time together is. But our time together is also super fun and I love it! Last week before my mom ran away to Florida to see my brother (Grrr so mad at her I fully intend on going down there to see him when kids go on Christmas break.. juuuust sayin!) We took the kids to the new park they have here. I love it. They have also incorporated a dog park which I fully intend to take Boon to once we have someone to watch the kiddos because 3 kids AND a dog at a park... I think I will pass on that one lol. After spending some time at the park went back to my moms house and ate dinner and roasted smores on the fire! Hubbys sister stopped by and we were able to snap some pics of the kiddies.. please excuse my childrens faces... marshmallows + dirt = my childrens faces! Change of plans....

I was going to sit here and write about me decorating my house for Christmas and how today is so gloomy it was hard for me to be cheery and I started looking up Christmas songs and then I found a song about a soldier.. and I had a sudden flashback of my Christmas last year... How selfish I am this year to take for granted the blessings in my life. Last Christmas my husband was an ocean away fighting in a war that may never be won.. just as many did before him and many continue to do.. and I thought about all of the soldiers who are still gone... What kind of soldiers wife would I be if I did not recognize their selfless sacrifice to serve so that my husband can come home and we can continue to celebrate Christmas as freely as we do. My heart hurts so badly remembering the pain I had last year. It was my first Christmas in years I did not spend it with my husband. While we all get busy with our families and buying stuff we lose sight of what really is important and that is those who were born to give their lives for us. And as this song says only two have died for ME. I am eternally grateful to Jesus for dying for my soul so that I may live eternity in Heaven and to the soldiers past, present, and future who have served and who have died to my freedom to sit here and write on my computer in the safety of my home. So please as you go on celebrating and shopping for your family remember those who are still serving and do not get to spend Christmas with their loved ones and think of their families as well, its just as hard on them. I am sorry its a depressing post but I have a passion for these men and women who give their lives. So when you say your prayers at night make sure to thank the good Lord for what you do have and send up a special prayer for the soldiers and their families during the holidays. Trust me its not easy for any of us but I promise you prayers will be heard. With that being said please take a moment of silence to Pray for them now.

Twas the Night Before Thanksgiving...

'Twas the Night Before Thanksgiving . . . .

'Twas the night before Thanksgiving,
But I just couldn't sleep
I tried counting backwards.
I tried counting sheep.

The leftovers beckoned -
The dark meat and white.
But I fought the temptation
With all of my might

Tossing and turning
With anticipation
The thought of a snack
Became infatuation.

So I raced to the kitchen,
Flung open the door
And gazed at the fridge,
Full of goodies galore.

I gobbled up turkey
And buttered potatoes,
Pickles and carrots,
Beans and tomatoes.

I felt myself swelling
So plump and so round,
'Til all of a sudden,
I rose off the ground.

I crashed through the ceiling,
Floating into the sky
With a mouthful of pudding
And a handful of pie.

But, I managed to yell
As I soared past the Trees....
Happy eating to all -
Pass the cranberries, please.

May your stuffing be tasty,
May your turkey be plump.
May your potatoes 'n' gravy
Have nary a lump,

May your yams be delicious,
May your pies take the Prize,
May your Thanksgiving dinner
Stay off of your thighs!!

Hope everyone has a wonderful, blessed and most of all loving thanksgiving. Remember to be thankful for more than the delicious food that will be placed before you tomorrow but for your family and friends and most of all Gods gracious gift of salvation to us all! God bless..
With all my love,

Double Date, Breaking Dawn and ENT

Okay so here is how my last two days have went. Yesterday it was a normal day aside the anticipation of a FUN filled evening with my hubby and my bestie and her hubby. I could not wait to get a little time with other adults without yelling at the kids every other sentence. So after a quick drop off of the kiddos at my in-laws and off to dinner we go. We ate dinner at Fujiyamas and it was delish. I did not get any sushi because well that crap is NASTY! To me anyways! LOL! Go ahead and hate I do not care. After a nummy and filling meal off to the movies we went. We went to the "BIG" movie theater to see it. After we comically made it through all of the previews and the guys complaints on how people have become so plain in picking out names for movies. The Lady in a Black Dress, Man on a Ledge and We Bought a Zoo are as clever as these intelligent Hollywood people can come up with.. So sad if you ask me. Going through the movie I will not talk much about it in case some of you folks have not seen it but I have to admit this one is my favorite on thus far. Not too much of the book was left out just the filling parts I think. The computer generated images (CGI) were done VERY well in this particular movie.. was almost hard to believe that the wolves were actually computer and not REAL. And the transformation into the shape shifting part from human to wolf was good too. No indication of CGI involvment that much. Aside from the obvious. Also the makeup on Edward was not so packed on as previous movies he looked more naturally pale. My favorite parts in the movie were when Edward could hear the baby, the imprinting of Jacob and Renesmee and the end!! I think that was an appropriate place to leave the audience. Left ya hanging but movies with a part two should always do that. What I did not like about the movie, other than the family Bella and Edward did not smile much during the wedding. Kind of disappointing but I will get over it. I also did not see Jacob smile but of course he did not have much reason to smile. I am not a Hollywood critic but after reading the book and watching the movie I would have to say its a very well done interpretation of the book into film form. Again Breaking Dawn was my favorite book out of the series so I may be a little partial to the movie. Yes I recommend it. I am not into gory vampire blood sucking movies and there is not that much swearing. I like this series a lot for that reason. But do not just jump into the last movie make sure you watch the first three before you watch this one or you will be just as lost as these poor girls that sat behind me and did not understand the end of the movie. Anways moving on, today I went to my family physician to get my ears looked and like I thought no infection but a lot of thick fluid behind my eardrum so I have to constantly take some decongestant and antihistamine and wait until the ENT gets my referral to see them. So right now I am looking at tubes in my ears or having my tonsils and adenoids removed which should have been done when I was smaller but that is ok mom I am not too mad at you! =) So all in all a good couple of days. Tomorrow lots of cleaning and getting ready for Thanksgiving. Hoping to put up Christmas decorations Friday. I am actually excited about it this year since hubby is home. Oh and the songs that are playing the first one is from the movie Breaking Dawn but the second one has been my favorite since I have heard it and its the Lullaby Edward writes for Bella. No words just music.. Beautiful! Anyways! I hope everyone has had a great day.

Sunday Tradition (For now)

So a few weeks ago Big Papa and I (with my moms encouragement) Have started a little tradition at our house. I love it. Some days its crazy madness and other days its amazing family fellowship. We have our usual attenders My parents, hubby's parents and his sister occasionally. I love it.. Its a great tradition and It has been amazing to have been doing this. I know that if I do not see anyone during the week I know Sundays I will have everyone here on Sundays. Yesterday was a little different. I had a different crowd here. My parents still came but my sister and her husband and son came and hubby's father and his aunt came yesterday and I was a little nervous about entertaining a new crowd but it went off without a hitch. I missed my in laws and my sis in law greatly but it was still so much fun! A lot of laughing and smiling. Its one of the main things besides church that I love about Sunday! This year I have volunteered to do Thanksgiving at my house for my parents (because my mom has to work that evening). So we are having Thanksgiving lunch at my house! NOM NOM!! The first time I have had Thanksgiving at MY house. I have helped with  a lot of cooking at other locations but never had it at my house... I am looking forward to that and I am hoping everyone I invited shows up! With all these family gatherings going on I have had a chance to think. That's why people in the south do not have HUGE family reunions (that I know of) because we get together all the time. Guess it helps when the family lives so close together. Of course All of hubby's family live down here in the South but I have family that lives up North and I am hoping to get to a reunion VERY soon as I miss all of you dearly. I have not taken pics of our gatherings I have just enjoyed them. I will try and get some pics from Thanksgiving to share. With that being said I hope everyone has a blessed, safe and hope your hearts are filled as full as your bellies are!

P.S. I will be posting a review of the new Breaking Dawn and the restaurant that we eat at (idk which one yet) tonight before the movie. Going with my sis and her hubby! DOUBLE DATE!!! YAY!!

I can honestly say that this year is going to be by far better than last year! I am looking forward to the holidays with my husband. I am truly blessed that my husband returned to us safely. Just looking at the pictures from last fall to this fall Its so obvious that things change.

Oh I love my life! I love my husband and my children. I am such a lucky woman.. God has given me all I have ever wanted and more. I have been fighting a yucky cold which I am hoping I get over soon with the holidays coming up the last thing I need is to continue to feel funky! I have not had much time to read or research with me feeling blah.. just been trying to get as much sleep as I can. Its been a rough week. Still trying to push on. Kids are still doing great in school and are growing like weeds. Have a lil Thanksgiving lunch with my son and his school today. Looking forward to that. I love how they invite the family to join. Then its thursday so dinner with the in-laws tonight. Looks like its gonna be pizza! Eventually I will get back on track with my reading and research.
